Hi! I’m Sagun 👋 I’m a software engineer who likes building things that actually work at scale and fixing the small details that make products better for real users. I currently work as a Software Engineer at OpenGov, where I build features for large public-sector systems and spend a good amount of time thinking about usability and accessibility (yes, keyboard navigation and contrast ratios matter more than people think). Before this, I spent six months at Google Cloud ☁️on the Backup & Disaster Recovery team, working on backend services, reliability, and observability in distributed systems. I got comfortable with debugging production issues, scaling test data to break things (on purpose), and learning how big systems behave under pressure. Earlier at HyperVerge, I worked close to APIs and integrations, building, testing, breaking, and fixing identity verification workflows, and writing automation that saved a lot of manual effort. Outside of code, I enjoy taking ownership. I led a national-level hackathon (INNERVE), worked with sponsors and industry folks, and served as the Management Head of my college’s Open Source Software Club, mentoring students and organizing tech events. I really enjoy helping people who are just starting out—because I’ve been there. I like fast-moving teams, meaningful problems, and learning things the hard way (the kind that sticks).
