During my internship at IMD, I developed a Python-based desktop software to automate rainfall data analysis and streamline the processing of meteorological datasets. My work focused on integrating PyQt5 for a user-friendly GUI and using Pandas and NumPy for efficient data manipulation. The software calculated district-wise rainfall deviations from long-period averages, generated categorized reports, and exported them to structured Excel sheets, significantly improving data accuracy and reporting speed. I also gained hands-on experience with real-world climatological data and collaborated closely with senior scientists to understand operational workflows at IMD.
