Prior to that, she was Chief Strategy Officer of Nokia, where she led the company’s corporate and business development efforts, including Nokia’s 15.6 billion Euro acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent. Renz is a strong advocate for empowering women in the tech industry. Most recently, she founded Amazon's diversity and inclusion initiative, “Women in Industries” to increase the number of underrepresented technologists in various industry sectors. Renz has received several honors over the years, including being recognized for her Lifetime Achievement Award by Mobile Magazine, and listed as one of the Global Telecoms Business 50 Most Powerful Women and 10 Top Tech Leaders. Renz earned her Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Cooperative Education, Germany, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The Open University London, UK.
