• 1. Leading development of building a platform to enable 5+ teams to onboard pre-checkout Payment Actions capabilities in Rufus
• (Amazon's AI shopping Agent) this will help Rufus answer update/add payment options during a purchase session.
• 2. Led regionalization of 12 customer-facing checkout and subscriptions payments features, designing low-latency multi-region infrastructure and data migration for 800M+ records.
• 3. Designed a plugin-based architecture to decompose a 20-year legacy monolith, decoupling payments logic from the rendering layer and enabling independent, zero-downtime deployments across 6 business lines.
• 4. Built and launched an event-driven precompute platform that caches high-latency payments business logic, serving 10+ teams and 150K+ combined QPS, reducing checkout friction by ~3 clicks and contributing 250+ million USD on launch.
• 5. Mentored and onboarded 4+ SDE I engineers and 2 interns in the payments checkout stack; interns converted to full-time offers, and SDE I mentees ramped quickly into high-impact, on-call–owning roles.
• 6. Designed and developed an internal tool that identifies dead code by correlating static analysis with live runtime traffic data; drove self-service adoption across 150+ teams in one month, successfully identifying 350,000+ lines of dead code.
• 7. I have been part of 15+ amazon retail and digital peak events and have handeled high pressure situations in war rooms. Most notable being when our redis cluster was completely down during PD 2025.

• 1) Migrated 2 critical checkout services (~800 TPS) to newer JDK versions and moved compute to Graviton 3, reducing cost by ~30% with no performance regression.
• 2) Peak planning POC for Black Friday 2022: capacity planning, resilience guardrails, and on-call runbooks for a critical checkout system handling ~40B requests over 3 days, keeping pipelines unblocked throughout peak.
