I started my banking career with Federal Bank in August, 2008 which spanned across 14 years. During this long stint, I had the opportunity to don different roles across branches which include customer service , CASA accounts management, retail and agricultural credit (appraisal, processing, documentation and post sanction follow up ), technical documentation, trade finance, regulatory compliance and KYC/AML monitoring cum reporting. It was an organic growth and helped me grow as a person too. I resigned from Federal Bank on 10th Jan, 2023 to explore new avenues of learning and experience the excitement of things I have never tried before. I briefly served as Finance Head at Vaisesika Consulting Pvt Ltd (an IT firm based at Infopark, Kochi) from Jan 19th, 2023 till April 30, 2023.This brief stint in the nascent stage of a company gave me a great opportunity to work across profiles and do cross-functional roles I wanted a break from banking and finance ; and found myself interested in Technical Writing, a profession which requires the odd, but interesting combination of writing skills and technical knowledge. After gaining the required skills needed to start as a technical writer, I got an opportunity to work at Razorpay, an Indian fintech company, where I could leverage my banking experience too! Here, my profession was a happy amalgamation of what I have learnt through experience and education, combined with my skill in writing. I have now moved to ServiceNow , as part of the Financial Services Operations product content team. On the personal front, I am an ardent lover of literature, classical dance, music, vintage architecture, interior designing and fashion. I love immersive and slow travel, history walks and occasional treks. I also get inspired by stories of people and their personal journeys. I enjoy delving deeper into history, culture, environment and sustainability. I sometimes try my hand at creative writing - I have scripted a documentary, published book reviews and travel articles. I am a constant learner and extremely enthusiastic about learning anything new!
