• Responsible for the Design and Administration of the Critical Malware Database of McAfee, that sits at the center of our malware classification and detection solutions.
• Leading a team of 4 engineers and overseeing day-day operations and the long-term changes and development to the Malware Database.
• Leading the project of migrating the old legacy Database cluster into the new state-of-the-art Hardware and SSD storage, whilst upgrading the OS and the Database software.
• o Designed the solution from end to end.
• o Apart from the technical role, I also played the role of a Program Manager and Scrum Master for this project. Creating sprints, managing backlog, deadlines and risks etc.
• o Worked with 15 customer teams that directly depended on the Database, with 3 IT teams for standing up the Hardware and OS, DR team to test the new environment for failover readiness.
• o Delivered the project 1 month ahead of schedule and won the Outstanding Team of the Quarter in Q1 2019.

• I developed the “Support for Customer Escalations” for the new McAfee ENS product that was released to millions of systems worldwide – Small/Medium business product – product named Endpoint 10. I accomplished this by working with two teams from other Bus – Customer Support Portal (external facing website for Gold/Platinum customers to interact and submit samples to McAfee Labs) and the Sample database team, that holds the knowledge base of all malware.
• I developed the next-generation solution to detect the malware sample – taking the LIVE source code of the DAT and compiling it into an Extra DAT (called an AUTO-ED) which will detect the malware and clean the virus infected machine. Travelled to meet with the Research team in Chile to understand this process/code and came up with the design and implemented the same completely independently. I completed this project in just under 2 months from the Requirements stage to the final production release. Till December 2014, this has provided solutions with over 10000 AutoEds that can cover over a million malware files/samples.
• Restart the work on the workflow product with new features – UI enhancements, new background processes to service the platinum and gold customers better – Use Raiden’s intelligence to close and respond to customers with the DAT Versions. Integrated with Sample Database and Raiden system for the same.
• I am responsible for planning the “Sprint” in the agile model followed. (4 weeks sprint cycles). I used the Version One tool to accomplish and track the same.
• I am also responsible for any communications with different teams for cross-team related features and functionalities. Worked with the Customer Portal (where customers upload the malware/virus samples) for their revamped product and with Sample Databaser team for faster processing of the malware samples.

• Developed and tested the DAT Build System (DBS) application. A DAT is a file that has the solutions to viruses that infect your computer. It is the file that is at the heart of any working Anti-Virus Software. The DBS application is a tool to help in building DAT files (to be used by all McAfee’s AV products) easily and in a systematic-automated way replacing the tedious manual labor involved. It also helps in dramatically improving the TTM (time to market) values of the delivery of these DAT files to the end customer.
• DBS is a Windows forms application using secured windows services for the tool to connect to the server. It also runs back ground services on the client machine for any updates to automatically be reflected in real time.
• Took an initiative to create and write up a User guide document for this application from scratch to aid the many users to easily navigate this complex tool.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the Workflow application and officially On-Call 24/7 for any customer support and resolving issues. Whilst on this responsibility, worked and resolved issues with Platinum customers from Google, Dell, Boeing, Oracle and various Japanese Banks.

• Primary responsibilities include gathering up of requirements, coming up with new ideas for features to improve the customer experience by making the scanning processes more efficient and faster wherever possible. Ensure we follow Service Oriented Architecture – thereby making the systems/services/processes reusable across the firm.
• Designed and created Hourly reports on all the major links of workflow that go out to the Directors, VP’s and Product managers– Metrics namely Viruses resolved in the last one hour, No. of customer files in the queue etc., Using these reports, we identified the bottlenecks and came up with better automated virus solutions, thereby making it reach the customer faster and also reduce the Support Calls cost.
• Bring the new hires up to speed on the product knowledge and the good development practices that we use – Peer reviews, Programming practices, interfacing to build systems and other applications in the SOA architecture and also other 3rd party tools.

• Primary responsibilities include write up design documents for new features and development of the same of a product called Workflow. Design and implement all aspects of the code – UI (ASP and JavaScript), Server (C#, Web services) and the database (MS SQL).
• Developed and tested the Workflow application, the purpose of which is to eliminate the use of the legacy mail box way of accessing the Virus samples/files from the customers and introduce a more stream-lined way with the help of a web application (thereby reducing the ETA for the drivers written – solution for the virus)
