I am a computer scientist, presently working in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision. My fascination with science began in high school when I first encountered the theories of Max Planck, Heisenberg, Niels Bohr, De Broglie, Schrödinger, Wolfgang Pauli, and other great pioneers of Science. The elegance with which their ideas solved the deepest mysteries of nature ignited in me a love for science—one that has remained my first passion to this day. For the past decade, I am in academic leadership roles, where I continue to nurture both science and scholarship. Yet at the core, it is that same wonder for discovery, inspired by the giants of Science, that drives my journey in research and academia. I always try to instill in my students that above all, it is most important to be a good human being. I encourage them to reflect on how technology can be used meaningfully—for the betterment of society and the greater good of humanity. Much of my research is rooted in social relevance, driven by a commitment to causes that impact lives.
