• Co-founded QuoVadis in Bermuda as the first offshore Certification Authority (CA) with backing from Centre Solutions, a member of the Zurich Financial Services Group, and later the private equity group ABRY Partners.
• Part of core management team as QuoVadis expanded operations to Switzerland, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
• In addition to the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) PaaS operations, QuoVadis built a business as a dominant provider of managed datacentre, virtualisation/cloud, and disaster recovery services to the international insurance sector in Bermuda, building and operating two high-security, high-resilience datacentres on the island.
• Acquired by DigiCert in 2019.

• Achieved ubiquity for 6 QuoVadis root CAs in browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices. Served on Policy Management Authority supervising Certificate Policy and Certification Practice Statement documents and overseeing a regulated infrastructure with high compliance and audit demands. Significant experience with interpreting and implementing PKI sector industry standards.
• Created TrustLink Enterprise, an industry leading managed PKI/certificate lifecycle management system, eventually supporting more than active 50 issuing CAs delivering configurable workflows for request/approval/delivery of a variety of certificate types including TLS, S/MIME, Qualified, document signing, token-based, private, etc.
• Evolved product offering of e-signature and e-seal services from desktop to server-side/mass signing to remote signing / cloud.
• Achieved certification under important industry standards from WebTrust and ETSI, leading to accreditation as an Authorised Certification Service Provider in Bermuda and as a Qualified Trust Service Provider in the Netherlands and Belgium under eIDAS and in Switzerland under ZertES. Major eID issuer under programs such as SuisseID and PKIoverheid.
• Active participant in CA/Browser Forum in the creation of important industry standards such as the Extended Validation (EV) Guidelines, the TLS Baseline Requirements, and the Network and Certificate System Security Requirements.
• Active in standards development for important signing initiatives such as Adobe Acrobat Trust List (AATL) and Cloud Signature Consortium.
