An accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, Abhijeet’s decisive leadership is backed by proven expertise in the fields of solar development and systems engineering, with specific regard to strategy, research, design, engineering, and operations. He is skilled at building disciplined teams and cultures. Prior to leading SB Energy, Abhijeet was the Vice President of Global Design and Engineering at SunEdison, heading a global team for commercial/DG and utility businesses. Prior to this, he worked as Director of Quality at SunPower Corporation and as Director of Wafer Fab Operations at General Electric Corporation. Abhijeet began his storied career focused on MicroElectroMechanical engineering at Endevco, Nayna Networks and Silicon Microstructures, Inc. Abhijeet earned an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a BS in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from COEP Technological University. He holds numerous patents for photovoltaic and semiconductor technologies and is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
