About

I am an award-winning product designer with over 25 years of experience in the industry. I founded Volume Studios, a Chicago-Based independent creative group focused on product design for the consumer product, furniture, & toy industries. Prior to Volume Studios, I was the Design Director for Radio Flyer, where I led the creative development of new product concepts and developed the Visual Brand Language for Radio Flyer’s broad range of products. I love being a part of the design community and try to give back whenever I can. I’ve been a featured speaker at design conferences around the Midwest and regularly participate in portfolio reviews at design schools in the area. I’ve led sponsored design projects with ID programs around the Midwest and, along with my brother, have founded endowed scholarships for Industrial Design students at both Pratt Institute and the Cleveland Institute of Art. I am currently working with nonprofits Advanced Design and IDO to mentor design students at the High School, College, and Young Professional levels. The goal is to help create a more diverse and inclusive ID community made up of people from a wide range of backgrounds and with unique points of view. Specialties: Product Design, Toy Design, Character Design, Furniture Design
