Olav has spent the last few years in top notch cloud teams building central functionality in DNB: * Data platform (2018 - present): Works as a TechLead building DNB’s new advanced analytics data platform. This is a mostly serverless platform that focuses on endless scalability, fast time to market and a high degree of automation. Helps reveal new revenue streams that are good for DNB’s customers and good for DNB! * Mobile bank (2017 – 2018): Worked as an information architect building DNB’s new mobile bank. This is a mostly serverless microservice backend with API’s serving cutting edge iOS and Android applications. The focus was rapid development of new functionality to delights the customers! One of Olav’s most important abilities is to focus on the business goals while mastering the complete value chain: * Top-down focus on strategic business goals to reveal new revenue streams. * Bottom-up technical expertise to understand how the architecture can enable the business goals. Day to day Olav works closely with various business users and Data Scientists to enable their use-cases as well as the teams expertly building the data platform. The goal is to develop new capabilities while liberating data to enable business! In his free time Olav spends quite a bit of time honing his cloud skills further. In just over 3 years Olav have taken 4 AWS certifications including “Data Analytics – Specialty”, “Machine Learning – Specialty” and “Architect – Professional”. Prior to DNB Olav spent 10 years in the more traditional Business Intelligence domain. He still leans heavily on the information architecture skills picked up over a decade.
