I am mad about communications and storytelling. I have been so since I was a little girl in a pinafore, navigating the highs and lows of nursery school. Yet, telling my own story and responding to the oft-repeated ‘tell me something about yourself’ query fills me with greater dread than the cane some of my school teachers wielded. But here are six quick things about myself that will hopefully push us to connect! 💥I am a comms chameleon. I tell stories boldly, using a variety of media - from film to socials, long-form, audio messaging, blogs, websites, case studies, and more. I have built this mad ability to leverage dynamic storytelling to propel communication strategy, brand identity, and audience outreach. This is my superpower. 💜 My calling is non-profit communications. And I have worked in countries and contexts across South Asia, particularly focusing on women’s economic empowerment, youth education, community leadership, skilling, labour rights, economic policy, and climate action. ⚡️I am proudest of building campaigns and communication initiatives that I have implemented in collaboration and solidarity with grassroots, regional, and international organisations. My contributions have generated work for artisans in seven countries, built momentum towards policy change, equipped non-profit leaders with the tools to promote organisational representation, and strengthened marginalised voices. 🌱Currently, as a Communication Consultant, I offer my skills and expertise to non-profits who are keen on disrupting spaces, creating new perspectives, igniting ideas, and reimagining the world we live in. 🙌🏾I value collaboration and kindness, creativity and words, contemplation and action. As someone who aims to be an empathetic, community-focused elder, one day, I work towards nurturing these values every day. 🌻After many years in denial, I am now slowly coming to terms with the fact that I am a nerd. My school and college report cards don’t reflect it (I was in denial, you see) but I am obsessed with learning, especially history, art, theology, philately, developmental economics, human psychology, and about the natural world. If you have a story you want to tell but need help telling it or you simply want me to hear your story, let’s chat!
