• ○ Developing an interactive Android application to pair to the PCB via bluetooth / previously developed the iOS version
• ○ Engineered a fully autonomous calibration system to speed up the calibration of the custom soil moisture sensor to various soils
• ○ Currently experimenting with a more advanced FDR soil moisture sensor
• This project is in correspondence with the Soil Moisture Active Passage (SMAP) orbiter which monitors and analyses the water content of different regions of the Earth.

• ○ Developed a prototype soil moisture sensor for the GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) community
• ○ Researched and tested available sensors in a controlled environment
• ○ Experimented with inexpensive and lightweight IoT devices and micro-controllers
• ○ Designed hardware for all necessary electrical circuits needed to interface with the sensor
• ○ Implemented Arduino code necessary to read and manipulate sensor data into readable soil moisture values
