About

I am a lifelong learner and lover of adventure. Currently, my family and I are seeking our next journey and wondering where it will be found. I am looking for a team that is as passionate and adventurous as myself to bring me in as one of their own. I am passionate about information security, operational security, and the practices of keeping people and businesses safe and private. I make it a point to get out ahead of the puck instead of chasing it. In my career, I have made it a practice to not only meet the goals of today’s challenges but develop and deploy strategies that will be effective for tomorrow. My career in information technology spans nearly 25 years. I have served the Office of the Insurance Commissioner for 5 years. In the agency’s security role I have modernized, proven, tested, and strengthened the security program of the agency. With my proven track record I was given a greater level of responsibility with the agency and currently hold the title of Senior Security Architect. While with the OIC I have been a key member of the team and have led and implemented many of the projects to modernize and secure the computing infrastructure, network communications, and data systems. Before the OIC, I was dedicated to the position of Network Manager at The Markets LLC. I was brought on board to use my knowledge and experience in security to develop an environment that would meet the PCI compliance needs the organization was for the first time being required to meet. My day-to-day focus in creating and maintaining a secure computing environment for the OIC, but my main responsibilities involve designing, implementing, and administering every level of the network from data on the wire, network switching, routing and traffic shaping, server hardware, and OS on up to applications. Please see my resume in the media section for further details
