On 18th April 2025, I jumped into the River Ganges in Rishikesh. Not for fun. But to face a fear I have carried all my life - water. I’m aquaphobic. Terrified of deep water. As the instructor gave safety instructions, I couldn’t hear a word. All I could hear was: “Don’t do it. You can’t.” But I got in. Second row of the raft. And I kept repeating to myself - “Dar ke aage jeet hai.” I got in. Sat on the second row. And three hours later; after paddling rapids, jumping into 135 feet deep water, and floating in complete surrender, I came out as a different person. That day, something shifted. I realised: Most fears aren’t real. They’re just stories we tell ourselves. And I’ve spent way too long living inside those stories. Not anymore. I’ve chosen to live a little louder. To give my 100%.
