• At Sharkbot 3D Systems, our goal was to build India's most affordable, multi-material and robust desktop FDM (Fused Deposition Moulding) based 3D printer. We started off early by experimenting with open source RepRap 3D printers, and then moved on to designing our own using market-ready components: hotend, nozzle, axis, frame and external structure.

• Actively contributed to the product design, testing, experimentation process by 3D modeling parts in AutoDesk Inventor and PCBs in Eagle CAD

• I worked at TreeLabs under the mentorship of Prof. Dipankar Sarkar with a team on building a low cost dekstop wax 3D printer that could be later used to make moulds for a desktop metal foundry. Our tasks here involved building few desktop 3D printers such as the RapidBot and Ultimaker and then learning from those to design our frame, electronics, firmware, software and hotend.

• Worked under and reported to Associate Director of the MIT Media Lab - Dr. Ramesh Raskar.
• The MIT Media Lab’s Camera Culture group organised several closed room, invite-only hackathons in India aimed at solving problems health-tech problems for the current 7Bn and the next 5Bn people - through frugal innovation. Of these, I was invited to participate in 3 hackathons alongside their year round development cycles: DIy Engineering the Eye Hyderabad (July 2013), ReDx Health Tech Mumbai (January 2014), ReDx Health Tech Mumbai(January 2015) and 2 internships: Srujana Innovation Center Hyderabad(October 2013) and ReDx Mumbai(June 2014). Further, I got the opportunities to present to Industrialist Ratan Tata in August 2013 to fundraise for these MIT projects in India, and ex-president of India late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in October 2013.

• 3 - Wearable ECG monitoring belt (January 2014 - January 2015)
• I worked on electronics prototyping, PCB design, basic CAD/3D printing, prototyping, testing of hardware with real patients/users, interacting with doctors, and early digital signal processing. Also learnt a thing or two about using fashion materials like Dry-fit to make wearable medical devices.

• Designed to ignite the passion for science and engineering in the youth, Sharkits is a low cost DIY kit company built to enhance hands on science education, frugally.
• The kits are designed in a manner where every kit put together, teaches a new fundamental science concept and and an engineering skill - and at the end of it, what you've built is a product you can use everyday.
• I founded Sharkits when I was 13 years old, inspired by the Maker Movement in the USA. It initially started with me selling DIY speaker kits to my classmates in school. Soon, they would come back to me asking me to put the kit together for them. Later, when I was 15 years old, I spoke to a team of engineers in Mysore, India who helped me design the first generation of Sharkits DIY kits. Some of these kits have been used to teach engineering freshmen at UMass Amherst basic skills such as soldering.
• Shut down the company to return to school and build what’s next. Still very bullish on the idea and happy to invest in any other companies trying to do the same.
