About

I advise architecture practice leaders on technology governance, operational alignment, and AI readiness. Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked across architecture, BIM, and digital strategy roles - from drawing details in small studios to leading technology transformation within complex design practices. One pattern has become clear: Most architecture firms do not have a technology problem. They have a governance problem. Software portfolios expand. AI experimentation accelerates. Infrastructure costs rise. Yet executive ownership, structured oversight, and operational alignment often remain informal. Technology decisions drift. Margin erodes quietly. Responsibility becomes unclear. I founded ADDD (Automated Data-Driven Design) to address this structural gap. Through board-level advisory, I help architecture practices: • Define executive ownership of technology governance • Align software investment with fee model and delivery strategy • Design operational workflow architecture • Formalise AI adoption policy and risk management • Rationalise stack complexity and reduce duplication I am also the founder of the ADDD Practice Technology Governance Index™ - a board-level diagnostic evaluating structural maturity across architecture practices worldwide. My work typically takes the form of: → Technology Governance Blueprint engagements → Executive Governance Reviews → Director Roundtables (confidential, invite-only) → Annual governance insight publications The next competitive advantage in architecture will not come from new tools. It will come from how well firms design and govern their operating model. If you are a Managing Partner or Director navigating structural change, I welcome a conversation.
