About

Early-career backend engineer focused on building resilient, scalable systems. As a Founding Engineer at Bramha Media Group, I work on early-stage backend services with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and maintainability. Tech Stack: Java, React js, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, gRPC · PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL · Docker, Git, GitHub Actions, Kafka, Postman, Swagger, SonarQube What I Bring as a Backend Engineer: • AI-Assisted Development: Use LLMs and AI tools to speed up development and problem-solving. • Building from Scratch: Design and build backend systems from zero with clean APIs and strong validation. • Scalability & Performance: Understand microservices, gRPC, and API gateway patterns. • Automation Mindset: Comfortable with Docker and CI/CD to reduce manual effort. Currently bridging Backend and DevOps, with a focus on Kubernetes, Kafka, and System Design to build scalable, event-driven systems.

Founding Engineer

  • As a Founding Engineer at Bramha Media Group, I worked in an early-stage startup environment with a small team. During the initial development and testing phase, I helped build core backend services and took them through local testing and continuous-integration (CI) pipelines. Due to financial and resource constraints, deployment was intentionally limited to the CI/testing stage, and the project was paused before a full production rollout.
  • I primarily worked with Java and Spring Boot to design and test REST APIs, integrated JavaMailSender for transactional email functionality, and collaborated on a lightweight React prototype to validate end-to-end flows. I also experimented with Docker and basic CI workflows to improve reproducibility and build automation.
  • Under strict zero-cost constraints, I evaluated AI/no-code tools such as Lovable AI, and used free deployment platforms like Render (backend) and Netlify (frontend) to validate technical feasibility and ideas.
  • Alongside development, I contributed to budget-aware tooling and infrastructure decisions, evaluating trade-offs between cost, scalability, and long-term maintenance. This experience strengthened my problem-solving mindset, clean-code practices, and system fundamentals in a resource-constrained startup setting.

Backend Intern

Jun 2024Aug 2024 · 2 mos · Kolkata, West Bengal, India · Remote

  • During my internship on the DocDirect project, I took ownership of refactoring a group-based backend project from a monolithic design to a microservices architecture using Java and Spring Boot. I designed and implemented core service components while collaborating with the team under company guidance.
  • I implemented basic gRPC communication between services, used Spring Cloud Gateway as the API entry point, and managed data persistence with PostgreSQL schemas. To support development workflows, I used Docker for containerization and GitHub Actions for automated CI pipelines. I also implemented JWT-based authentication and used Swagger/OpenAPI for clear API documentation.
  • Beyond the core backend, I explored event-driven and cloud-native concepts, including basic Kafka usage and generating Kubernetes configuration files with Kompose, strengthening my understanding of system design and end-to-end development processes in a professional environment.
  • Overall, this internship helped me gain hands-on experience in backend development, microservices, CI/CD, and system design, while practicing collaborative development and learning to translate ideas into working, production-ready components.
