Kevin Buehler — CEO
I am a Senior Partner Emeritus at McKinsey & Company. For over three decades, I helped senior executives at leading financial institutions solve their most challenging strategic, risk, regulatory and analytical problems. I co-founded and led our global Risk practice, led our Americas Corporate & Investment Banking (“CIB”) practice and co-led our global CIB practice. I also led our Launch Committee, supporting innovation across McKinsey, and oversaw LilliX, responsible for the development of the most advanced capabilities of Lilli (our generative AI tool which has responded to more than 20 million prompts from over 90% of our 40,000 colleagues). In addition, I led our global Cybersecurity practice, served as CEO and later Chairman of Risk Dynamics, and co-led our Generative AI & Banking and our AI Trust efforts. I also served as a board member of MIO Partners, overseeing the management of $26 billion of assets (as of 2026) for our pension and retirement plans and for current and former McKinsey partners, for more than 17 years. Previously, I served as COO of International Equity Partners, L.P. (an emerging markets private equity firm), practiced corporate law as an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, and was co-founder and CFO of Crimson & Brown Associates, a targeted recruiting services firm. I received an A.B. from Harvard College in economics, summa cum laude, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, magna cum laude, where I served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review. I reside in Greenwich, Connecticut, with my wife Alisa Savetamal (a trauma and burn surgeon; medical director of the Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital; assistant clinical professor, Department of Surgery, Yale School of Medicine; member of the board of trustees of the American Burn Association; Vice President of the New England Surgical Society; and President, Northeast Burn Surgery Conference) and our four children, Jacob, Nick, William and Julia.
