About

I make workplaces work for parents - improving recruitment, retention, productivity and profitability. Previous clients include: Aviva, Octopus Energy, Lloyds Bank, and Visa. I founded the charity and campaign group, Pregnant Then Screwed in 2015 after my own experience of pregnancy discrimination. Now a global brand, PTS has changed laws, secured billions of pounds of Government investment, supported hundreds of thousands of mothers with free advice, won awards and triggered a sea-change in company practice. Vogue named Joeli as one of the top 25 most influential British women who are shaping 2021 and beyond. The New Statesman named her as 1 of 50 most influential people shaping Britain’s progressive politics in 2023. She has twice been listed in Women in Westminster: the 100, which celebrates the outstanding achievements of women around Westminster, who have demonstrated that they are not only influential in their own field but have the talent and platform to inspire the next generation. She was one of PR Week’s top 10 Communicators of 2023. Her debut book: ''The Motherhood Penalty: How to Stop Motherhood Being the Kiss of Death for your Career.’’ was published by Simon & Schuster on the 4th March 2021. Joeli was awarded an MBE in the 2024 New Years Honours list.
