I live at the messy intersection of medicine, technology, and systems design. By day (and night), I’m an emergency physician in San Francisco. By vocation, I’ve spent two decades building tools like MDCalc and Offcall that millions of clinicians rely on to make better decisions at the bedside. By calling, I push health systems and health tech to confront the gap between what patients need and what our industry actually delivers.
