• At the Nederlandse Spoorwegen I have worked on two projects. The first project was continuing development on an application which provided the NS with a means to administer it's business metadata. I did this project with two other consultants from PW Consulting. The original version of the application was both designed and developed by an engineer and as such didn't quite shine in user friendliness. A couple of functional additions were required as well as a complete overhaul of the user interface, while maintaining the same level of data integrity as the original application provided. The application went live in august 2009 and up until today has been a smashing success, with more and more users every month.
• The second project I have worked on was realizing the data-warehouse for the OV Chipkaart. In the beginning this project had me focused on the technical aspects of the source system and the data it was providing the NS as well as the complexities in storing and integrating that data. Later on, my role changed from the technical to the functional aspects of the OV Chipkaart. Activities would include checking business assumptions against the true data and reflecting possible consequences of differences between them, analyzing, performing and deepening of ad-hoc questions which would arrive at the BICC and advising the BICC on changing certain aspects of the data-warehouse from a technical concepts to functional concepts.

• PW Consulting is a Business Intelligence Consultancy firm, which performs various BI projects at the top 100 companies of the Netherlands. For PW Consulting I have done projects at the Belastingdienst and Nederlandse Spoorwegen externally. Internally I have done an extensive research into Solvency II legislation and it's impact on various aspects of datawarehousing projects at insurance companies.
