About

I work at Broadcom as a Spring Framework core committer where I am leading various cross-cutting efforts such as the Null Safety of Spring APIs, the Kotlin support and the runtime efficiency of Spring applications via GraalVM native image and AOT cache (Project Leyden) support for cheaper and more sustainable hosting. I am also involved in the Spring web support where I contributed key building blocks such as the CORS support or some parts of Spring WebFlux Reactive infrastructure. I have also recently joined the Spring AI team. I have created and led several Open Source projects such as Spring Native (which successfully incubated to the current Spring Boot native image support), Spring Fu (discoverable, efficient and explicit configuration model for Spring), RestHub (full-stack development with Java and JavaScript). I also co-created OpenScales (a former popular GIS 2D visualization technology). I am a former Dart Google Developer Expert, Kotlin Google Developer Expert and member of the W3C WebAssembly Community Group I am a former staff member of the MiXiT conference, and a frequent speaker who has been giving talks in various conferences such as Spring One (keynote), Spring IO (keynote), Devoxx Belgium, Devoxx France, MiXiT, KotlinConf (closing keynote panel), Oracle Developer Live, Øredev, etc.
