My major career goals are Software Localization and Natural Language Processing(NLP). I have been working in these fields since 2005. I have closely worked with and managed several Software Localization Projects including the NepaLinux Project (http://nepalinux.org), a sub-project of the bigger PAN Localization Project (http://panl10n.net), Nepal country component. Since then, I have been involved in a number of Software translation and localization Projects with major software giants and localization vendors as a freelancer both in the capacity of a team lead as well as team member. I have also led and worked in several Natural Language Processing Projects as a Researcher, for instance, in Machine Translation, Opinion Mining, Text-to-Speech, Automatic Speech Recognition, with a special focus towards Nepali. I have had the opportunity to be familiar with the life cycle of Software Localization and Natural Language Processing Projects, to interact and deal with people of multi-national origins from different spheres of expertise (software developers, linguists, engineers, language specialists, language owners, language product managers etc.) and get to know the risks and success/failure factors in any Software Localization and Natural Language Processing Projects.
