Me and Ajay Vashisht(Ex-DRDO) started with a simple vision. To build a faster EV battery diagnostic machine. After creating, testing and validating across 100+ iterations we hit the eureka! We built EV DOCTOR™, a 15-minute ML based EV battery health, safety and performance testing tech used in 25+ countries across 120+ EV brands. EV DOCTOR™ analyses EV batteries based on the principle using DCIR characterisation and VI profiling. The certified reports are obtained on the smartphone through our proprietary app. (For some, we have customised into A4 health diagnostic type reports) This started with a simple problem: Everyone in the EV ecosystem was guessing battery health. Customers relied on luck. Workshops touched battery surfaces to decide if it was HOT (then it was considered 'bad') Fleets lost money. OEMs had no standard way to test batteries in the field. Together with Ajay (ex-DRDO), we decided to fix this in a scientific, transparent and practical way. We combined first-principles electrical measurement, field-tested algorithms, thermal runaway experiments at IIT-Gandhinagar and real-world data from 50,00,000+ tests to build what is now recognised as one of the world’s fastest-deployed EV battery testing systems.
