• Through internal nomination and panel review Dr. King was selected to be part of a team of six LLM experts to represent the UK in a global effort to integrate generative AI into the bank. In this position, Dr. King makes strategic decisions, along side stakeholders from Hong Kong and USA, and assesses GenAI use-cases proposed by colleagues in the UK. He is also tasked with leading a team of engineers to perform Proof-of-Concept implementations of select use-cases using pre-trained LLMs such as GPT-4, PaLM and LLaMa.

• Dr. King manages multiple scalable software implementations and leads teams that are specific to each. He is responsible for the standardisation of coding, naming and versioning best practises. He created and maintains the CI/CD pipeline used for latest generation of models, and also contributes to projects within the Quantum ML space and delivers masterclasses on various data science/engineering topics.
• Dr. King sets his sights on the horizon and thinks deeply about the challenges faced by his team and the bank as a whole. He takes great pleasure in leading change to increase efficiency and ease-of-use of the tech stack by the scientists and engineers in his teams to continue to deliver on promises to the stakeholders and promote and foster a healthy work environment.

• In this role, Dr. King oversees the complete ML pipeline from data ingestion, feature creation, model development, testing, packaging and deployment. He is responsible for the success of all ML models produced across two teams within the agile tribe.
• On a day-to-day basis he provides direction for multiple projects, is consulted on technical problems, and delivers masterclasses on various data science/engineering topics.
• Dr King receives the most satisfaction in his role from coding ML packages to achieve the fastest millisecond runtimes possible through the use of mathematical concepts he learnt from theoretical physics.

• Dr. King has an ongoing visiting fellow position at Imperial College where he continues to co-author scientific publications and mentor Master's and PhD students.

• Dr King was a part of the Mechanistic understanding of Irradiation Damage in fuel AssemblieS (MIDAS) research project, which had a multitude of stakeholders including Rolls-Royce, Westinghouse, and EDF energy.
• His role was to utilise quantum mechanical and molecular mechanical hybrid calculations to elucidate the role of solute atoms in the degredation of mechanical properties of Zr alloys during reactor operation.

• Dr King was employed as an expert in advanced nuclear materials. He was initially contracted by the UKAEA for consultation on the conceptual design stage of the Spherical Tokomak for Energy Production government initiative.

• Dr King undertook his first year of postdoctoral research where he was a part of UNSW's first Nuclear Engineering department. Here he performed density functional theory simulation and materials fabrication/analysis of next generation cladding materials. He also developed a blended learning program for the Nuclear Engineering Masters degree.

• During Dr King's thesis he developed a new rapid predictive method labelled Alloy Search and Predict. This code was able to identify novel compositionally complex metallic systems termed “high entropy alloys”. Among the 186M alloys screened, three candidates that displayed high stability and low thermal neutron absorption cross-sections were detected for further investigation. As a consequence, alloys with higher strength and greater tolerance to radiative environments were developed for in core nuclear reactor operation.

• This position was held over the summer of Dr King's final undergraduate year for a placement program. Here, Dr King assisted in various projects to monitor the air and water quality around the Olympic Dam site as-well-as led his own project to examine the protection factor of respirators against radionuclides and dust.
