Previously Software Engineer at Observe.AI (raised $213M from SoftBank & other investors, YC'18) - Enterprise Platform team | Authentication, API gateway, Users/Teams microservices. Designed and lead the development of centralised Notification Service using Kafka & SNS-SQS based queuing system. Worked on various enterprise readiness features for strategic customers like Uber, Sofi & Doordash including SCIM and user lifecycle management. Worked on data pipelines & change data capture services at scale of 15,000 RPS - a replacement of Hevo/Fivetran based data connectors to sync in near time the transactional databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) to analytical databases (Snowflake, Databrick) using self hosted Kafka connectors running in Kafka connect server and OpenSource tools -Debezium Working in Voice AI space since November of 2023 - earlier with custom pipelines & prewarming worker threads with open source VAD & turn detector models - processes which are now streamlined with OSS libraries like LiveKit & Pipecat with both WebRTC/ Daily and WebSockets type of deployments University Days: 1. Did around seven internships in domains of Web Frontends (React, NextJS for SSR), Backend Systems (Golang, Java, TypeScript, Python FastAPI) & AI agents 2. Shipping the product, taking feedback from users, and iteratively improving it Gen AI journey: First got introducted to stable diffusion 1.5 finetuning using DreamBooth in Nov '2022. Used an open source UI automation on top of ChatGPT as this was before OpenAI even had a public API for ChatCompletion. Later created various RAG applications using PineCone, Weaviate, ChromaDB and Qdrant - used to take a snapshot and save to s3 to persist the vectorDB upserted embeddings. Core contributor to the Enterprise Platform powering large-scale AI Agents and AI Copilots for Contact Centers, owning and evolving mission-critical backend infrastructure across Authentication/SSO/RBAC, User & Team identity services, API Gateway (Kong on NGINX), Kafka-based eventing, and internal platform libraries used company-wide.
Architected and led the end-to-end development of a centralized Notification Microservice (greenfield) in under six weeks, designed for horizontal scale and high throughput.
Implemented Kafka-backed async pipelines, SMTP delivery, AWS SES feedback loops via SNS → SQS fan-out, idempotent consumers, retry semantics, DLQs, and Flyway-managed PostgreSQL schema migrations with strict backward compatibility guarantees.
Designed and implemented SCIM 2.0 user provisioning and full identity lifecycle management (create/update/deactivate/reactivate) tightly integrated with SSO, RBAC, and enterprise directory providers, unlocking large-enterprise deployments and reducing onboarding friction for customers such as Uber, SoFi, and DoorDash.
