In my 7 years career, I have been lucky enough to be working on various different technologies. below is the flow of what i have worked on.
To begin my career, I worked on Network testing which included scripting in one of my favorite scripting languages (shell).
Next, i did some hands on testing on Device drivers which included WHQL testing as well.
Data Warehousing was something that was going good and there were various publications that i would read on and finally i got a chance to work on Data Warehousing and also on the automation part of it using perl scripting.
Next, I worked on the storage domain. It included testing the different ways in which data can be stored ensuring data integrity.
Worked on automation using Watir and Ruby. Created a framework for the same
Improved on the learning we obtained from the automation done using ruby and watir and created a new framework using watir-webdriver, ruby and made use of rspec for reporting.
Got a chance to work on ETL testing and also automating the same using Excel Macros which involved some bit of VB scripting.
