• Responsible for leading the Airspace Planning and Management (APM) Section, overseeing the planning, design, development, and optimization of Oman’s airspace to ensure the highest levels of safety, efficiency, capacity, and regulatory compliance in line with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).
• The role includes managing airspace structures, ATS routes, sectorization, and airspace classifications, as well as coordinating closely with ATS units, CNS, aerodrome operators, military authorities, and regional and international partners. Responsibilities also cover the development and implementation of airspace-related policies, operational agreements, and procedures supporting both civil and civil-military operations.
• Actively involved in strategic initiatives such as Performance-Based Navigation (PBN), Free Route Airspace, airspace resilience and contingency planning, ATFM integration, and cross-FIR coordination with neighboring States to enhance traffic flow, operational predictability, and environmental performance.
• Represents the Sultanate of Oman in ICAO MID regional forums, technical meetings, and bilateral/multilateral engagements, contributing to regional harmonization and best practices in airspace management.
• Leads continuous improvement, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making to support national aviation objectives and Oman Vision 2040.
