About

I build the automation and observability that lets infrastructure teams operate at scale. My career pattern is inheriting complex distributed systems, engineering the tooling to modernize them, and shipping platforms that run without their original author. Most recently at Wells Fargo, I built a middleware engineering team and automation framework from zero — centralized CMDB, Grafana/Prometheus observability, automated API deployment with certificate management. At Illumio, I rebuilt an SRE organization after near-complete turnover. Across 35 years at Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Merrill Lynch, I've shipped infrastructure at global scale in regulated, high-availability environments. I ship production code in Python, Ruby, Java and Go. My most recent open source project, mq-rest-admin, is a multi-language library for IBM MQ REST administration — architected and directed entirely through AI agents. Earlier OSS work includes MQSeries.pm, AFS::Command, and NetApp.pm, which became de facto standards in their respective communities. Targeting: Staff/Principal IC roles in infrastructure engineering, SRE, platform engineering, developer tooling, or AI infrastructure. Remote preferred.
