• Led a global team of 50 engineers, product and program functions across 2-sites and 2-countries, launching a new rendering platform for Amazon Search and Personalization product displays.
• The rendering platform included a centralized design and experimentation framework; a collection of reusable data-bound UI controls guided by design standards, declaratively assimilable by experimenters to build product display experiences.
• The rendering platform when invoked by a caller (like Amazon Search page) streams back the batch of fully-formed product display HTML and assets in real-time.
• For each display, it allows the caller to get the default product display for their marketplace and placement combination, or declaratively customize the template and its building blocks (within allowed variations) for their needs.
• The new infrastructure also delivered latency improvements by multi-threading the data-bound calls, and streaming the results in blocks of product displays.
• The new platform successfully handled millions of operations per second during a peak event while maintain latency SLAs and 99.99% availability, making it the biggest rendering system in Amazon’s federated infrastructure in terms of traffic.

• Led a global team of 35 engineers, and program functions to upgrade the decade old Amazon Lists and Shares product features and backend systems.
• Working closely with the Lists product owners, led the Lists CX re-design with ‘smart groups’ to create an intelligent, automated experience where customers can easily manage, find, and interact with items they like, and save.
• Upgraded the Lists backend infrastructure and launched an overhauled Lists’ Search implementation to retrieve, and categorize items across the customers’ lists (Amazon Lists, Baby Registries, Wedding Registries, Idea Lists, and the Alexa Shopping List) using a native data store that joined data with Product/Content data in real time for display.
• The new infrastructure reduced the code base by 35%, and handled an overall 600% increase in traffic, decreased latency of Search calls by 82%, and maintained availability at 99.99%.

• Frontend integration with fulfillment aware experiences on Amazon store pages through a common badging farmework.
• By integrating the feature on Search, Detail Page, Personalization widgets, Cart, Checkout, thank you page and Your Orders delivered shipping cost savings.
