• Co-Founded MyStream.in : A Live-Streaming Platform for Indian Creators to monetize their following (imagine Patreon meets Twitch)
• Raised $300k from Angels in a pre-seed round, scaled the team to over 45 people (returned capital after not finding PMF)
• Grew to 1500+ creators & 200,000 users
• Built the 7-member founding team, got incubated by 2 private entities (before the pre-seed)
• Designed and deployed a Cloud based scalable architecture and single handedly developed the entire Backend and Frontend (till the 1.0)
• Managed the Cyber Security of the platform, built WAF authenticating algorithms, encryption & authenticating pipelines and a Live Chat API.
• Developed a comprehensive in-house Live Streaming Engine (1080p 60FPS, low latency) and a Host Dashboard to conduct Live Streams, Publish Shows, Manage Payments and much more.
• Hired and scaled the engineering team to 10 people, Marketing team to 12 people and Sales team to 15 people.
• Managed the company's finances, worked with Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary to handle tax returns and various compliances (we followed the ECO structure to help creators make money, this resulted in a massive compliance burden and having to get 30+ GSTINs for TCS and add on top of that the ability to accept international donations in forex = 🤯)
• Researched industry legal practices, worked with lawyers and consultants to develop the company's comprehensive legal & taxation framework.
