• The Future United runs the yearly Second Life Community Convention, the largest yearly gathering of virtual world enthusiasts. In 2007, nearly 1000 people attended the convention in Chicago. The group was founded by five of the movers and shakers of the virtual worlds scene in 2005, and the group has grown since then, officially becoming a non-profit in 2006.

• SLBoutique.com was the premier web-based marketplace for creators of virtual objects in Second Life to sell their items. CNN once referred to it as the "Amazon of the virtual world."

• Crompco purchased the web portal code from my startup, Digital Content Solutions, and hired the DCS technology team in the Fall of 2003. The award-winning Crompco web portal and the underlying database have been recognized within the industry as the gold standard for maintaining testing records for gasoline stations to ensure environmental compliance at a federal, state, and local level. At the time of my employment, it was written in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Flash, and automatically exported data to many popular formats for reporting, such as Excel and Crystal Reports.

• Digital Content Solutions created distance learning content management solutions and field data collection and testing web portals. Clients included The Einstein Academy, Flashlink, TRM Corporation, and Crompco Corporation. In 2003, the company amicably split. David Johns, the other founder, continued with distance learning under Digital Schooling, while Timothy Allen and the tech team moved to Crompco to become their technology department.

• Developed program to accept applications for accounts, built customer service tools, engineered the database, wrote COBOL middleware applications for financial transactions, and a suite of marketing tools. (Since renamed Nova Savings Bank)
