• Pedagoge is a NASSCOM 10,000 start-up company which helps in connecting private tutors for various academic and non - academic activities throughout the city of Kolkata. The stint was quite interesting as I was able to wear multiple hats (across Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources and Business Development) and work in a start-up atmosphere among a team of really talented and dedicated people. Some of the roles and responsibilities included
• Preparing the initial structure of the company blog along with formulating guidelines and editorial policies
• Assisting the Business Development Team with getting more registrations from coaches and generating leads for the same
• Preparing a go to market strategy and help the team in trying and testing different options and versions of the plans
• Being a part of the Marketing team and assisting in formulating both online and offline marketing strategies including print, digital, social media and cinema
• Coordinating between the design and finance team to get the marketing collateral ready for various events in and around the city to promote the brand

• This was my first stint at entrepreneurship. Having read 'How I Braved Anu Aunty and co-founded a million dollar company' was the exact book that triggered me to give a shot at entrepreneurship. STATEMENT was about ready-made T-Shirts with a unique USP of not repeating the same piece or same design again. This posed another set of challenges where you literally had a new SKU every day. This stint single-handedly taught me practically about P2P cycle, vendor management, delivery partner reliability, a cash collection cycle, working capital management - all from first-hand experience. Starting with a seed capital of USD 170, STATEMENT did a lifetime sales of USD 3,000 an 18x return on seed capital.
• STATEMENT did not have a website and relied on a referral model to build a loyal 1,000+ customer base in a Facebook Group. This group was also instrumental in piloting the P2P model of ensuring negligible default rates while undertaking 'Cash After Delivery'.
• STATEMENT was also used as a case study for my final semester project presentation. The dissertation is attached for your reference. (This secured a score of 98/100 - highest in the batch of 2011-14 in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata)
