• Led a team of 4 engineers. Weekly 1-1s, giving feedback and positioning others where they can grow. Created a personalised roadmap based on experience & future role of the engineer.
• Fostered data-driven culture. Defined and shared tracking best practices. Responsible for setting up tracking strategy and defining KPIs. I troubleshoot multiple tracking issues that resulted in a huge impact on our tracking correctness. Paired with a data team defining our company wide KPIs.
• Continuously grew the number of subscriptions. I was leading a product that was responsible for 40% of all subscriptions. I made sure from both the technical and product side we delivered things fast and reliably. Main complexities: Personalised pricing, managing contracts, invoices, A/B testing different pricing, tracking the results from each funnel.
• Experimented with various user groups and offers. For each user group, I helped find through data the best offer and outcome for each user group. Technically, I made sure we support multiple offers at the same time.
• Maintained momentum within the team. One of my main activities was to zoom out and see the big picture. I was actively writing ADRs, code reviews, removing gaps between tech and product. We worked closely with 5 product teams, hence I needed to make sure we built the right things and were aligned on the technical challenges.

• Created the first Design System. As a Lead Frontend Engineer, I built the v1 of our internal design system used with micro-frontends at scale.
• Grew from 0 to X subscribers. At scale, I learned and influenced what works and does not in terms of: active users, churn rate, CLV, engagement rate, adoption rate, retention, etc.
• Defined frontend testing strategy. Simplified testing strategy by making the code testable. Decoupling business logic and UI lead to much simpler testing and easier to read code.
• Hired great engineers. I helped improve the interview process by guidelines, feedback and setting up processes. With other managers, I helped define our core values and principles for hiring & growing talent.
• Became a data-driven engineer. I learned SQL, BigQuery, and Google Analytics. Combining the operational side with domain knowledge made a huge difference in defining our OKRs, KPIs and how we measure our success.
