• Worked on a large scale, distributed, reliable, publish-subscribe based messaging layer for the company as a part of the cloud communications team. This product is used as a backbone by Sherpa, a distributed small-object datastore. As a part of the messaging team, I conceived and developed a template based structured data storage library to optimize the cost of serialization and deserialization of transactions stored on disk.
• In addition, I also worked on and supported one of the most widely used messaging and replication platforms at Yahoo! used by hundreds of teams and deployed on over fifty thousand machines.

• Previously worked as a senior engineer in the Adsystems and Data Solutions departments to develop near real time logs processing platform, job control frameworks and a variety of analytical reports for external advertisers and internal users.

• Worked on near real time logs processing platform for generating various low level input data sets from raw access logs. The data was being used by many teams to enable various data mining techniques, by Adsystems team for revenue recognition and various other related teams. The system cut down the processing time from 2-3 days to close to 25 minutes with a continuous stream of 5 minute real time data sets. This was a huge effort and the team won the Superstar award at Yahoo!
• Developed a generic job control system based off the principles used in the design of the logs processing system and also marketed to many teams internally. Filed 4 patents on locking, job control, transactions and error recovery aspects which were a part of my work.
