Himanshu M. — Product Manager
I'm a Product Management Intern at Finanjo, an early-stage personal finance app in India, working across onboarding, user experience, and product strategy. I gave Finanjo users a complete picture of their finances for the first time by introducing credit cards as a new source across 820+ variants and 15 banks. I also redesigned an onboarding flow with over 60% drop-off and rebuilt a regulated consent experience within RBI's Account Aggregator framework. Beyond individual features, I built the company's first product strategy by identifying activation as the key bottleneck, mapping the full growth loop, and structuring a phased roadmap across multiple modules. I come from a computer science background at BIT Mesra, which keeps me close to the technical layer, understanding systems, working with engineers, and catching implementation gaps early. Good product work requires both strategic clarity and execution depth, and I'm comfortable in either depending on what the problem demands. Indian fintech is where my domain interest runs deep, how consumer products earn user trust at scale across UPI, Account Aggregator, credit, and personal finance. AI in product flows is where my curiosity sits, not as a standalone layer, but embedded into experiences to improve accuracy, decision-making, and usability. I'm particularly interested in how models behave in real product contexts and how to design around their limitations without degrading the experience. I approach problems from the user backwards, understanding what they're trying to accomplish, where they get stuck, and how the product can remove that friction. I was part of the NextLeap Product Fellowship, where I ranked in the top 1% of a 300+ cohort. Outside of product, I stay curious through travel, fitness, and conversations with people from different backgrounds. I find that understanding how people live and think makes me a better product thinker. Open to PM Intern, APM, and Growth PM roles where I can own meaningful problems and ship products that move real metrics.
