  • In my project the filler of size in micrometer is used which when incorporated in the resin changes the properties of the virgin polymer completely. Depending on the concentration of the filler we can vary depending on the desired properties of the polymer.
  • 2) Worked on synthesis of the filler.
  • properties of the composites formed by the addition of fillers are dependent on the particle size of the filler. For the desired particle size synthesis of the filler is important. Synthesis is completely dependent on application of polymer. For filler synthesis, emulsion as well as suspension polymerization techniques are used. studied the kinetics and various reaction conditions suitable for batch synthesis.
  • 3) Worked on water-based paints (DECORATIVE).
  • Currently, world is facing the demoniac problem of global warming because of ozone layer deformation. This deformation is mainly due to volatile organic components (VOCs) present in the paints. Water based paints emit very less amount of VOCs because of the presence of water as a solvent. We worked on the cost and replacement of pigment by synthesized filler. Various properties are calculated and tests are performed for the betterment of the quality of water-based paints.
