About

I am Eitan Worcel, a cybersecurity professional with close to two decades of experience in Application Security. In late 2021, Jonathan Afek and I recognized the need to go beyond traditional vulnerability detection and instead focus on making existing findings actionable. This led us to found Mobb, a pioneering cybersecurity company dedicated to bringing the application security market to the remediation era. Mobb was officially launched in August of 2023. We are proud to win the Black Hat startup spotlight award, a testament to our commitment to driving innovation in the industry. Our platform empowers organizations to take control of securing their applications by providing trusted, automated fixes for security vulnerabilities powered by cutting-edge AI technology. With Mobb, organizations can significantly reduce the chances of being impacted by security vulnerability exploits and streamline processes to minimize vulnerability backlogs, all while freeing developers to focus on innovation. I invite you to connect with me to learn more about my work in application security and the exciting journey we are embarking on with Mobb. Let's collaborate in shaping the future of application security, where innovative AI-powered solutions empower developers, strengthen security teams, and safeguard businesses. #applicationsecurity #DevSecOps #SAST #DAST

Head of Product, AppScan

Nov 2019Oct 2021 · 1 yr 11 mos · Massachusetts, United States

  • I led the AppScan business in HCL Software to a great new era, bringing it back to be an industry leader.
  • Worked closely with the AppScan leadership team to define its business strategy, execute on it, and track it against our business targets and industry KPIs. During this time we grew our customers base with over 300 new logos.
  • Launched AppScan V10 which was the first major version in the AppScan product suite after 6 years. This release offered many new exciting experiences to our customers and also helped affirming HCL's commitment to AppScan and the market.
  • Led to the unification of the experience across the 4 different AppScan products, aligning roadmaps and release dates which resulted in a much coherent strategy and clarity to our customers.
  • Grew the AppScan product management team to double it size, and together we led the addition of new scanning technologies, add-on services, and the release of AppScan CodeSweep - a new community edition of AppScan placing security scanning in the hands of developers through their IDE or SCM. In less than 20 months since its launch, AppScan CodeSweep reached over 16K downloads.
  • Initiated the "This Is AppScan" YouTube channel for AppScan’s launch events, interviews, and how-to demos. I've recorded 70 videos as part of the 'AppScan Tuesdays' show which were viewed over 25K times since launched.
  • Taking AppScan from being positioned as a challenger in the Gartner AST MQ to the leading quadrant.
  • During the two years in this role I learned a lot, overcame many challenges, mentored newcomers and most important, I had a lot of good fun along the way :)
