Mikael Alemu Gorsky — Co-Founder
My work centers on AI as a pillar for radical change in the knowledge economy. I run applied research on how AI changes knowledge work, from back-office processing and BPO operations to software development. The focus is always practical: what works, what fails, where the gains are real. Most of my advisory and consulting work targets emerging markets - Africa (first of all - Ethiopia) and most countries of former USSR, where organizations face the same AI pressures as Silicon Valley but with fewer resources and less room for error. I am available for advisory, board, and consulting engagements. Teaching is the other half. At the Holon Institute of Technology I designed the ACVC course (agentic coding / vibe coding) for third-year CS students, a 40-hour program where students build production software with AI tools under real engineering constraints. For executives I have built two shorter programs: an eight-hour AI strategy immersion and a four-hour change management workshop built around Kotter's framework. My published research with Prof. Ilya Levin examines how constructionist learning theory applies when students work alongside generative AI. Before AI became my focus, I spent decades doing transformation work the old way. I wrote my first code for 8-bit processors in the Soviet Union and led a student group that produced 250,000 lines of code for the largest car factory in the USSR. Later I co-founded one of the first management consulting firms in post-Soviet Russia. Our work spanned strategy, performance management, and ERP implementation for financial services, retail, real estate, and IT companies across Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. I went to Harvard Business School to study how consulting and advisory firms themselves should be led. That combination of building software, running large-scale projects, and thinking about how organizations actually change is what I bring to AI work today. I write about AI for The AI Pravda, a LinkedIn newsletter with over 4,200 subscribers, and publish AI Chronicles, a daily industry digest. I run the AC/VC LinkedIn group for developers and students working with AI coding tools. Interviews and public commentary appear in English and Russian. As a Jewish person I know that my mission is תיקון עולם (tikkun olam), to repair and improve the world. My Ethiopian heritage gives that mission a specific direction: I have worked on development projects for Ethiopia and continue to look for ways AI can accelerate the country's growth. 🔺 I am happy to connect with people who share these commitments.
