Account Reconciliation (AR) is a marketplace solution in the OneStream platform. What we built in Flex is not just matching Ledger to substantiation numbers (which most of the organization does) but the consolidation of the substantiation provided by users, uploaded via SQL Loads into User-Defined (UDs) from lower entity level till Top Parent. We have used 4 standards and 6 UDs in our project to meet business requirements. Each transaction is designed to store Aging, Nature of transaction, Target ledger at the lowest reporting level till Top parent. Any reporting/consolidation tool provides the break up by entity/customer whereas our product provides the break up by aging, transaction nature, currency type, target ledger to enable top management to drive multi-dimensional reporting details for quick and effective decision making. Further, we have used OneStream workflow capabilities to enable SOD for different teams to own their responsibility for the list of accounts. Using custom Business Rules (BR) and Transformation Rules (TR), tied workflow and account recs to enable auto-completion and approval or rejection in RCM and Workflow. In addition to reconciliation & consolidation of substantiation, our product is designed to generate automatic risk assessment for each of the sub ledgers from SOX compliance purview. For eg: AP Risk Assessment is based on all AP sub-ledger components. Similarly, risk assessments are built for AR (bad Debts), Inventory (E&O), Fixed Assets, Leasing and Intercompany.
