• Contributed to Paytm's Super router, the core payment routing platform that handles high frequency, real time payment traffic across multiple gateways.
• Helped scale core order lifecycle and routing workflows while maintaining strong data consistency through sharded transactional databases and Redis caching.
• Optimised kafka polling calls and database updates by utilising batching and reducing the number of query calls to the DB and the overall CPU workload.
• Worked on enabling QR based payments for payment type subscription while adhering to NPCI’s guidelines on payment for a subscription.
• Refactored shard routing in the database failover system using Redis-based health checks to skip inactive shards, significantly reducing retries and improving transaction latency.
• Developed a production-grade API endpoint for order status in Java Spring Boot, integrating with internal services to ensure scalability and secure data flow.
