Hi, I’m Shikhar, a healthcare founder focused on solving one of India’s most overlooked challenges- the movement of life-saving care. After graduating from IIT Bombay, I co-founded HelpNow. It grew into India’s largest emergency medical response platform, serving thousands of patients during the pandemic. That journey showed me a hard truth. In critical moments, access isn't just about doctors or hospitals. It’s about getting help to the right place, at the right time. Today, I’m building Anahad, a healthcare logistics company built to move critical medicines, samples, and equipment with speed, safety, and reliability. We are creating the infrastructure that ensures care doesn’t get delayed in transit. I’m a Y Combinator W20 alum and was named in Forbes Asia 30 Under 30. HelpNow began as a student-led idea at IIT Bombay and grew into India’s largest tech-enabled ambulance network.
During the COVID-19 crisis, we served thousands of patients across major cities by offering fast, reliable emergency medical transport. We partnered with top hospitals like Lilavati and Nanavati, and built a dispatch system that reduced average ambulance response time by 50%.
As co-founder, I led operations, partnerships, and tech. We scaled to multiple cities, built a 24x7 command center, and created one of India’s most reliable emergency logistics platforms.
Our efforts were recognized nationally when we received the Best Ambulance Service Award 2021 from the Union Health Minister at the India Today Healthgiri Awards.
HelpNow wasn’t just a startup, it was a crisis-time solution that became long-term infrastructure.
