About

I'm a Senior Developer Advocate at Postman, focused on the intersection of APIs and AI agents. I co-chair Postman's AI Council, where we analyze industry signals, build proof-of-concepts, and ship them into production. Through the council, I created Postman's first MCP server, pioneered Claude Code skills and commands for API development, and shipped the official Postman plugin for Claude Code, a tool that gives AI agents the ability to manage the full API lifecycle through natural language. That plugin is the culmination of two years of speaking at over two dozen conferences worldwide, running the "Agents & APIs" developer meetup series across the US and Canada, and building a conviction that the future of API development is agent-driven. Every talk, tutorial, and proof-of-concept led to the same conclusion: developers need AI tools that actually understand APIs. So I built one. Before DevRel, I was an Engineering Manager at Postman leading the Labs team. Before that, I spent years shipping software across startups and enterprise. I came into tech through a coding bootcamp and never looked back.

  • Focused on AI agents and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) as Postman's primary technical voice in the AI developer ecosystem.
  • The Postman Plugin for Claude Code
  • Designed and shipped the official Postman plugin for Claude Code, giving AI agents the ability to create, manage, test, and document APIs through conversation. Built on top of Postman's first MCP server (which I also created), Claude Code skills and commands for API-first workflows, and the Postman Learning Center's documentation intelligence layer. The plugin represents the practical application of everything I've advocated for: that APIs should be agent-ready, and that developers deserve AI tools purpose-built for the API lifecycle.
  • AI Council (Co-Chair)
  • Co-chair Postman's internal AI Council. We analyze the AI landscape, identify high-signal trends, and turn proof-of-concepts into shipped products. The MCP server, Claude Code integrations, and the plugin all originated here.
  • Speaking & Events
  • 24+ conference talks worldwide in the last two years, including MCP Dev Summit NA 2026 (Linux Foundation, NYC). Created and host the "Agents & APIs" meetup series running across SF, NYC and London, with speakers from CodeRabbit, Expo, Elastic, Cloudflare, Rootly, WorkOS, and more. Events regularly pull 300+ registrations.
  • Content & Open Source
  • Technical blogs, video tutorials, and open-source projects including postman-cursor-rules, Clara (an AI tool that grades APIs on agent-readiness), and the Postman plugin. Featured in ODSC on agent-ready API design.
  • Product Launch
  • Helped lead developer-facing communications during the Postman V12 launch. Employee advocacy, community moderation, live office hours, and dev-to-dev engagement across Discourse, Discord, Reddit, and LinkedIn.

  • Continuing my work with the Design System, I've continued to build the team and push our product to full 1.0.0 release.
  • Another team I oversee has started the tedious work of breaking up the frontend monolith into a micro frontend architecture using Module Federation through Webpack 5. The implications are widespread, effecting all product teams currently in the monolith (17+ teams in total) as well as the SRE and QA teams.

  • Currently building the new design system for Podium on a foundation of Chakra-UI. Initially started as a hit-squad with the express purpose of testing out various "out-of-the-box" design systems. The successful POC resulted in the creation of a full team and a greenfield project. Structured using Atomic Design on a foundation Chakra-UI, the new design-system has already been wildly successful. Designed to be part of the new look of Podium, we have had to be agile, while also providing a product that is robust enough for immediate consumption in a SaaS product.
  • The first 3 months (Q3) successes:
  • Released over 2 dozen atom and molecule components
  • Built and released a whole new top navigation using only the Design System components
  • Supported the release of a new sidebar experience built solely with Design System components which will be a template for all other sidebars throughout the application.
  • Supported a new library application that will be released and used through Podium’s application.
  • Introduced visual regression testing through Chromatic
  • Aside from leading the engineering team, I work closely with product and design to prioritize our roadmap and also coordinate with other product teams to support their roadmaps. I have to stay aware of what’s going on throughout the various product teams so my team is prepared for new asks of us.
  • I also work closely with my product manager to prepare and present showcases for the executive team where we present our OKR and roadmap, as well as how well we are tracking on these goals. It’s our time to provide a value-added benefits case for the design system.

  • As part of the core platform team for the web application, I am helping to increase the performance by implementing better GraphQL patterns, decoupling products within the monolith monorepo, exploring Webpack 5 and Module Federation, and utilizing various tools such as Lighthouse(and the Web Vitals), New Relic and Bugsnag.
  • Understanding how our code base is mapped, my team is leading the charge in reorganizing and restructuring our architecture. Along with reorganizing our architecture, we're using technology to find interdependent code and decouple components from files that are not part of a given page or route. This has allowed for better code splitting and chunking.
  • Using these patterns I've been able to decrease load times by 90%, from 21.8s to 2.0s.

  • Trail Companion is an app that accesses the native GPS functionality of the phone that allows for offline GPS tracking.
  • The purpose of the app was to allow the user to set a start-point, end-point, and all the points in-between set at 10-minute intervals. In the production app, the GPS points would be saved on the user's phone and not our servers, but for the purposes of building a full stack front to back app, these points were linked to my servers.

  • I was the primary frontend developer for Clonewars. As the front-end developer, my focus was making the website as pixel perfect to the original and taking the user input and passing it to the back end, and then taking the backend response and displaying it to the user. We focused on full functionality for Clonewars to make sure users were able to write and test code within our coding environment. We used Docker, a virtual machine, to run the unit tests and provide the user with responses on their tests.

Director of Vendor Management

Jan 2016Oct 2016 · 9 mos · Clearfield, UT

  • Utilizing my background with Podio, I rebuilt the Vendor Management infrastructure as well as refined and simplified the vendor on-boarding process. I could keep track each step of the process, from the moment a vendor fills out a form on our website, all the way through to in-field training with our field managers. It also allowed me to track the on-boarding progress and track clearly defined metrics for my employees. Through the workflows and infrastructure I built, Vendor Management could scale almost indefinitely. By automating many of the daily tasks, our sourcing team can now spend more time doing what they do best, talking with potential vendors. The workflows and automation I created saved the company almost $40,000 year.
  • My team's ability to process vendors increased almost 300% with over 1000 vendors run through this process in the last 9 months.
  • I helped implement the score card system for our teams in the field and in the office. The workflows I created in Podio track various data that can be refined down to the minute. This data can be exported and then imported into the scorecard system.
  • By incorporating technology into the process, our vendors had access to an online training library, all their signed documents, and were be able to update profiles without needing to call into the office.

Project Manager, Property Rehab

Dec 2014Jan 2016 · 1 yr 1 mo · American Fork, UT

  • I oversaw the completion of over 1000 residential rehab projects and a multi-million dollar annual budget. I found solutions to help reduce waste, increase production, and decrease completion time, as well as communicate with over 40 construction crews spread out across the US. I was able to save the company approximately $50,000 in 6 months with the processes noted below.
  • While at Nudge, I researched and implemented Podio, a web-based project management software, to refine the rehab/renovation process. Through Podio, I was able to:
  • Increased real-time communication with outside vendors
  • Moved to an almost completely paperless system
  • Cut approval time from 1-2 weeks to less than 3 days
  • Reduced 2-3 hour meetings to 15 minutes
  • Reduced daily email by 80%
  • Reduced average rehab/renovation time by 50%
  • Increased weekly project completions by 25%
  • I also created a process that allowed me to take multiple projects and run them simultaneously, as pieces of one larger project. Through this process, I saved an average of 25% on the overall cost of the project by taking the individual bids and "lumping" them together. For instance, I could approach a plumber and say "I have 20 toilets to install. How long will it take and what discount could we get by buying in bulk?" This process also decreased project completion time by approximately 15%.
  • When I started, the average property analysis took 45 minutes to research. When I left, the analysis worksheet that I created took less than 3 minutes. By imputing 3 pieces of information, my sheet pulled data from across the company's multiple databases and gave me an accurate first analysis on a project.
