About

As CEO and Co-founder of MCPAppsBuilders (mcpappsbuilders.com), I build production-grade MCP applications and ChatGPT Apps that work under real-world constraints. MCPAppsBuilders is a technical partner for enterprises navigating the shift where platforms like ChatGPT are becoming distribution channels, not just tools. We design and deliver MCP-based systems end-to-end: from feasibility assessment and trade-off analysis to deployment, observability, and iteration in production. Our focus is not on prototypes or demos. Most MCP apps fail because they ignore evaluation, constraints, and operational reality. We build systems where latency, error handling, user behavior, and reliability are first-class concerns, or we make explicit why they should not be built. I work on structuring how MCP servers, conversational UI, tools, and stateful systems interact in production environments, with a strong emphasis on evaluation-driven development and system robustness. Previously, I was Director of Engineering Strategy and Transformation at TheFork (Tripadvisor Group), where I led AI, data, and organizational initiatives, and coordinated MCP strategy and early integrations with AI agent ecosystems such as OpenAI Apps. My background spans software engineering, platform architecture, and executive strategy, allowing me to operate from system design to business impact. I hold an MBA from Warwick Business School (Financial Times-ranked), with a focus on strategy, finance, and organizational scaling. I contribute to MCP standardization (enterprise, security, search-tooling), write about scaling MCP applications in real organizations, and I am currently authoring “MCP at Scale” (Manning).

  • During this challenging period, alongside my roles as Chief Data Officer and acting CFO, I also assumed the responsibilities of acting Chief Legal Officer. This multifaceted position required me to oversee various critical legal and compliance aspects across the company's global operations.
  • My role involved the implementation and management of compliance processes across different jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, France, the UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong. To effectively navigate the diverse legal landscapes of these countries, I worked closely with local law firms, leveraging their expertise to ensure that our compliance strategies were both effective and regionally appropriate.

This task required a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of various legal aspects, especially software management risk issues such as licensing compliance.
  • Managing labor law for the group was another critical aspect of my role. I ensured that our employment practices and policies were in compliance with the local labor laws of each country where we operated. Interim Chief Financial Officer

Promoted

Mar 2020Mar 2021 · 1 yr

  • In the wake of uncovering the significant internal fraud in March 2020, my role at the company expanded significantly, as I assumed the responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in addition to my duties as Chief Data Officer, for the full group operating in France, UK, USA, Canada, Hong-Kong and Singapore. This dual role, which I held until July 2021, involved a deep dive into various critical financial aspects of the company, including hiring the Chief Accountant who overtook lately the CFO role.
  • One of my primary focuses was cash flow management. In this capacity, I developed and implemented strategies to optimize the company's cash flow, ensuring financial stability and operational efficiency. Another key area was the cash collection strategy. I worked on enhancing the processes for collecting payments, which was crucial for maintaining a healthy cash flow and overall financial health of the company.
  • Procurement strategy was another critical area of my work. I devised and executed strategies for procurement to streamline expenses and improve the cost-efficiency of operations. In response to the fraud I had uncovered, I also introduced and strengthened anti-fraud processes. This involved implementing robust systems and controls to detect and prevent any future fraudulent activities.
  • During this period, I also was in charge of migrating our ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365, including defining the full processes but also the development of extensions for custom needs in the full company referential.

Chief Data Officer

Jun 2019Aug 2022 · 3 yrs 2 mos

  • In 2019, following the completion of my MBA, I took on the role of Chief Data Officer, marking a new chapter in my professional journey. This position involved building and managing a comprehensive data platform that integrated data from various business functions within the company. The platform was designed to analyze data from finance (Microsoft Dynamics), sales (Microsoft Sales CRM), operations (Jira), and engineering (monitoring data), providing a holistic view of the business's performance.
  • A key feature of this platform was its ability to provide real-time analysis of critical business functions, including cash flow, revenue, and profit management. This not only enhanced decision-making processes but also offered valuable insights into the company's financial health and operational efficiency.
  • This role, which lasted until August 2022, was punctuated by a significant discovery in March 2020. While conducting an analysis of accounting data, I uncovered an internal fraud that had a substantial impact on the company's finances, amounting to 50% of the EBITDA. This discovery underscored the importance of robust data analysis in identifying and addressing major financial discrepancies and highlighted the critical role of a Chief Data Officer in safeguarding a company's financial integrity. My experience in this position was a testament to the power of data in transforming business operations and strategy, and in uncovering vital insights that could have far-reaching implications for the company's future.
  • This fraud happenning at the exact start of the CoViD crisis could have, if not detected be critical for the company.

Director of Innovation

Sep 2016Jun 2019 · 2 yrs 9 mos

  • In 2016, my role evolved into the Director of Innovation at Witbe, where I was tasked with defining and steering the company's strategic technological direction. This role was particularly focused on enhancing the Quality of Experience (QoE) monitoring capabilities, with a special emphasis on mobile streaming applications. The position required an acute understanding of the latest technological trends and the ability to integrate these into our product strategy, ensuring that Witbe remained at the forefront of QoE technology.
  • Concurrently, I was pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Warwick, which broadened my business and management acumen. During this period, a key project involved the application of sentiment analysis algorithms, not AI, to assess customer satisfaction. This involved analyzing CRM data and various forms of communication to predict customer friction points. The aim was to proactively address issues that could lead to churn. This experiment was a testament to the practical application of sentiment analysis in understanding and enhancing customer experiences, demonstrating a synergy between my growing business knowledge and technical skills, and underlining my capability to harness technology in resolving complex business challenges.

CEM Agents R&D Director

Aug 2010Dec 2013 · 3 yrs 4 mos

  • From 2010 to the end of 2013, still at Witbe, I embarked on an exciting journey in my first management role, overseeing a team of five with a focus on Customer Experience Management. This period was characterized by a harmonious blend of team leadership and technical innovation.
  • Our main objective was to develop agents for Set-Top Boxes to detect impairments and quality issues in diverse environments such as Mediaroom, Motorola, and Netgem. • In addition to these responsibilities, my role expanded to encompass both backend and frontend development. I led the creation of an analytics platform, employing big data technologies like Hadoop, HBase, and Storm. This platform positioned us as a formidable competitor in the market, similar to offerings from companies like Conviva.
  • In the realm of frontend development, we were ahead of our time, especially considering the era before Angular. We pioneered in implementing real-time components and an event-driven architecture.
