• During this challenging period, alongside my roles as Chief Data Officer and acting CFO, I also assumed the responsibilities of acting Chief Legal Officer. This multifaceted position required me to oversee various critical legal and compliance aspects across the company's global operations.
• My role involved the implementation and management of compliance processes across different jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, France, the UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong. To effectively navigate the diverse legal landscapes of these countries, I worked closely with local law firms, leveraging their expertise to ensure that our compliance strategies were both effective and regionally appropriate.
• Contract management was a significant part of my duties. I was responsible for reviewing and overseeing contracts, particularly for high-value deals, sometimes exceeding one million dollars. This task required a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of various legal aspects, especially software management risk issues such as licensing compliance.
• Managing labor law for the group was another critical aspect of my role. I ensured that our employment practices and policies were in compliance with the local labor laws of each country where we operated. • In the wake of uncovering the significant internal fraud in March 2020, my role at the company expanded significantly, as I assumed the responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in addition to my duties as Chief Data Officer, for the full group operating in France, UK, USA, Canada, Hong-Kong and Singapore. This dual role, which I held until July 2021, involved a deep dive into various critical financial aspects of the company, including hiring the Chief Accountant who overtook lately the CFO role.
• One of my primary focuses was cash flow management. In this capacity, I developed and implemented strategies to optimize the company's cash flow, ensuring financial stability and operational efficiency. Another key area was the cash collection strategy. I worked on enhancing the processes for collecting payments, which was crucial for maintaining a healthy cash flow and overall financial health of the company.
• Procurement strategy was another critical area of my work. I devised and executed strategies for procurement to streamline expenses and improve the cost-efficiency of operations. In response to the fraud I had uncovered, I also introduced and strengthened anti-fraud processes. This involved implementing robust systems and controls to detect and prevent any future fraudulent activities.
• During this period, I also was in charge of migrating our ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365, including defining the full processes but also the development of extensions for custom needs in the full company referential.

The platform was designed to analyze data from finance (Microsoft Dynamics), sales (Microsoft Sales CRM), operations (Jira), and engineering (monitoring data), providing a holistic view of the business's performance.
• A key feature of this platform was its ability to provide real-time analysis of critical business functions, including cash flow, revenue, and profit management. This not only enhanced decision-making processes but also offered valuable insights into the company's financial health and operational efficiency.
• This role, which lasted until August 2022, was punctuated by a significant discovery in March 2020. While conducting an analysis of accounting data, I uncovered an internal fraud that had a substantial impact on the company's finances, amounting to 50% of the EBITDA. This discovery underscored the importance of robust data analysis in identifying and addressing major financial discrepancies and highlighted the critical role of a Chief Data Officer in safeguarding a company's financial integrity. My experience in this position was a testament to the power of data in transforming business operations and strategy, and in uncovering vital insights that could have far-reaching implications for the company's future.

• A notable achievement was the creation of an IEC61937 decoder for the GStreamer multimedia framework, enhancing its audio stream processing capabilities. Alongside this, there was the challenge of developing a high-rate, real-time MPEG-TS analyser, capable of processing several gigabits per second, which included a custom kernel module for optimized performance.
• The role also required delving into embedded software development, where I designed sophisticated agents for Set-Top Boxes (STBs).
