About

I’m the founder and director of Learn CCTV, a hands-on training academy based in Manchester delivering practical, face-to-face courses in CCTV, intruder alarms, door entry, and access control systems. Our mission is simple: to raise the standard of security installation training across the UK through real equipment, live demonstrations, and courses built around how the industry actually works. At Learn CCTV, we don’t just teach theory; we prepare people for the field. Every session is designed to build installer confidence, technical understanding, and professional credibility. Whether it’s someone new to the industry or an experienced engineer looking to upskill, the goal is always the same: practical knowledge that translates directly into real jobs. Beyond the academy, I’ve built a strong presence within the security sector through content creation and brand collaborations. I work with leading manufacturers and distributors to produce engaging, educational videos that showcase new technologies and highlight genuine installer-focused benefits. My approach is honest, informative, and grounded in experience, giving professionals the insight they need to choose, use, and trust the products they work with. I’m also the creator and host of Room Secured, a growing media platform built to give the security industry a true voice. It has two key formats: 🎙️ Room Secured: The Podcast – where I sit down with industry figures to discuss innovation, challenges, and the future of security technology. It’s about open conversation and sharing ideas that move the trade forward. 🎥 Securing the Room – a studio show where leading brands come on to talk honestly about their products, technology, and vision. It’s a space designed for transparency, discussion, and showcasing what’s next in the world of security. Through both Learn CCTV and Room Secured, my mission is to educate, connect, and elevate the security industry. I want to bridge the gap between installers, educators, and manufacturers, raising standards, encouraging collaboration, and shining a light on the innovation shaping our field.

  • As host of Room Secured, I lead in-depth discussions with the people shaping the future of the security industry.
  • Room Secured is more than just a show. It is a platform for meaningful dialogue across CCTV, intruder, access control, and distribution. Filmed in a multi-camera studio, each episode brings together manufacturers, distributors, and industry specialists to share insights, challenge assumptions, and debate the issues that matter.
  • My role as host is to guide these conversations, ask the questions that others avoid, and ensure every episode delivers genuine value to installers, integrators, and consultants.
  • Through Room Secured, I aim to:
  • Highlight the challenges and opportunities across the security industry.
  • Give a voice to different perspectives, from global manufacturers to local specialists.
  • Create an open forum where the industry can learn from itself.

Learn cctv

Director

  • Learn CCTV has been setup as a CCTV Installation & Product training Academy.
  • After a long career in the industry, I realised there was a gap in the market for a training service that offers tuition to those who already deal with CCTV and those would like to learn more about it in order to offer another service to their customers, which will in turn increase their profit.
  • Most training firms leave the engineers more confused than when they turned up. Our aim is to keep the training simple and hands on so the trainees understand and take in more.
  • All too often businesses only realise their CCTV isn’t working as it should be when a crime occurs – and they don’t have the evidence they need to solve it. At Learn CCTV, we want to help change that by offering electricians, satellite installers, builders, engineers and anyone else interested in a career in the industry the chance to learn everything they need to know.
  • We’ve already had interest from people who want to expand their portfolio of skills and businesses and who are looking to outsource their CCTV training.
  • We also offer the option to take on a companies training needs. For example if a manufactuere is looking to outsource their training on their products, we would handle this.
