Working as a part of the core real time market data operations team. As part of this
role, we work on ensuring that the connectivity health checks for our direct & indirect feeds are done in time, the markets go to pre-open, auction, cross & become ready to trade as per individual
exchange guidelines. We have web scrapers or ftp connections to download reference data &
symbology files for 45 sub markets supported across Europe region. We have parsers on top of the
data we receive from different exchanges in different formats & convert them into a common consumable Morgan Stanley format so that it can be used across all downstream applications within
the firm. We have our proprietary tool to publish/subscribe messages to & from the internal
applications. For relatively illiquid markets we use Reuters feeds which has higher latency than our
direct feeds. Throughout the day we keep monitoring our queue for any alerts that could have a
potential impact on trading & raise incidents/outages for stakeholder management & quick resolution of the issue.
