• Created consumer menu caching 2.0 by merging one of the most important and yet similar service models online ordering and takeaway ordering. This end up saving upto 50% of redis consumption in system.
• Created a menu state change logging system using Kafka to integrate Menu with various services like Promo service, Search service, etc.
• Introduced the concept of multiple menus in single restaurant.
• Fixed a major bug generated due to parallel menu edits in same restaurant.
• Improved menu sync time by 50 percent using SQL query optimisation.
• Introduced the flow for automatic items stock toggle on mentioned turn on time.
• Build an improved, optimised, robust and more scalable version of menu service.
