• Interned under the Chip Security Team responsible for maintaining and enhancing software security of various components of NVIDIA's GPU.
• Worked for the new driver architecture (starting with the R515 driver release) aimed at open sourcing Linux GPU kernel modules.
• Worked for secure booting of GPU System Processor (GSP) that is used to offload GPU initialization and management tasks. Offloading tasks on GSP which were traditionally performed by the driver on the CPU improves performance due to lower latency access to GPU hardware internals.
• Worked on kernel level debugging and testing across a wide variety of workloads to ensure feature and performance parity with the proprietary kernel-mode driver.
• This driver architecture is a significant step toward improving the experience of using NVIDIA GPUs in Linux, for tighter integration with the OS, and for developers to debug, integrate, and contribute back.
• Open kernel module feature is supported on all NVIDIA Ampere and Turing architecture GPUs.
