• During my internship, I worked hands-on with cybersecurity tools and practices to help enhance the company’s security defenses. I contributed to multiple areas, from vulnerability assessments to real-time incident response.
• Vulnerability Assessment & Pen Testing:
• I performed security assessments using Nessus, Nuclei, and Burp Suite to identify vulnerabilities in live websites and networks. This included running tests on Android apps using MobSF and Objection, uncovering security gaps, and reporting findings with clear recommendations for improvements. I also conducted cloud penetration testing using tools like CloudEnum to assess cloud infrastructure security, identify misconfigurations, and enhance overall security posture.
• SOC Support & Incident Monitoring:
• I monitored security alerts and incidents using LogRhythm, CloudSek Xvigil, Bvigil and Cortex XDR. I helped investigate threats like phishing and malware, brute force ensuring swift containment and resolution.
• Network & Domain Security:
• I conducted network scans and directory enumeration to find and fix potential entry points for attackers, strengthening the internal security of the organization.
• This internship gave me valuable hands-on experience with top-tier tools while improving my problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced environment. It was a great opportunity to apply what I’ve learned in real-world situations and deepen my passion for cybersecurity.
